Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) continues to expand international cooperation. The latest was done with Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT), Taiwan. Monday, 9th of September 2019 2 delegates from MCUT visited Undiksha and had focus group discussion on strategies to operationalize the MoU which has been signed. This collaboration is one of the strategies to improve the quality of education and Human Resources.
MCUT was represented by the Director of Center of International Affairs, Chieh-Lan Li, Ph.D. In her presentation, she explained that MCUT has collaborated with many overseas universities, including those in Indonesia. This was also shown from the testimonies of some Indonesia students attending their education in MCUT through videos.
Cooperation is expected to be established with Undiksha, which has a number of similar study programs. Like engineering, design, and economics. She proposed the collaboration in the form of a double degree (bachelor + master) which she called fast tract program 3+2 instead of 4 + 2 in a seperated program, which takes longer time. Additionally, she also explained other kinds of cooperations such as joint research, and as short program called summer language and cultural camp. She emphasized these programs can be realized in 2020.
Undiksha Rector, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., stated that this collaboration is important to establish. This is not only to improve students competence, but also to support the internationalization at home program that has been launched in 2019.
